  • a part of me honestly feels like desi boys will never support desi girls in their strive for change because desi boys benefit in every way in our culture and traditions, boys get to do whatever they want and even if they get caught doing something they shouldn’t it’ll be brushed away and they won’t get into serious trouble and then after having all the fun they want they’ll settle down with a nice girl and have a family that they’ll impose the same practices onto that’s why it’s so easy for desi boys to say they’re ‘traditional’ or they love our ‘traditions and culture’ and our culture is the ‘best’

  • Just wanna let you know, "feminism" has no place in islam. Ever heard the Prophet mention "feminism"? Ever heard a sahabah say "feminism? Does Allah mention in the Quran "feminism"?

  • HAHA BUDDY YOU GUNNA LEARN TODAY

here is the definition of feminism:  the advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.

here are some examples that Islam gives women rights equal to mens!

    1. inheritance!

    2. Owning, Maintaining, and Managing their own property! (just like a man *gasp*)

    3. Divorce! (Yup you read correct! women can get a divorce for many reasons! one of them being if their husband doesn’t please them sexually :) )

    4. Custody of Children! (Yup you read right again! if the couple gets divorced and they have kids shes able to have custody of them if shes of sound body and mind)

    5. (access to) Education! (oh yes look at that that women who’s in your biology class that has hijab on, she has ever right to be there, just like you :)  )

    6. Choice of Spouse! (oh yeah buddy she can refuse to marry you simply because she thinks you’re a sexist pig! :))))))) )

    7. Keeping her maiden name! (yup yup she doesn’t have to take your last name unless she 100% wants too!)

    8. Equal participation in the Political process (so yup! if she wants to run for President she can!)

    9. Complete spiritual Equality! (and one of my favorite ones! Spiritual Equality! so yes you read this one right too! My deen is just as important as yours! :))) )

    10. Any Money a women makes is hers and hers alone! ( Oh yes if a women has a job she has no obligation to spend that money on anyone else! While if a man has a job he needs to make sure the family is completely 100% provided before he can spend any money on himself!

And here is some more facts!

    - The United Nations granted women these rights in the Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. In fact, over a thousand years after the death of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), in 1586 French Catholics were still discussing whether or not women possessed souls.

    - The Qu’ran explicitly states in more than one verse, 3: 195, 4:124, that whoever does good deeds, and is a believer, then goes to specifies “male or female” God will give them an abundant reward

    - According to the Quran, men and women have the same spirit, there is no superiority in the spiritual sense between men and women. [Noble Quran 4:1, 7:189, 42:11]

    -  Remember that in Europe until the 19th century, women did not have the right to own their own property. When they were married, either it would transfer to the husband or she would not be able to dispense of it without permission of her husband. In Britain, perhaps the first country to give women some property rights, laws were passed in the 1860’s known as “Married Women Property Act.” More than 1300 years earlier, that right was clearly established in Islamic law.

    - “Whatever men earn, they have a share of that and whatever women earn, they have a share in that.” [Noble Quran 4:32]

Secondly, there is no restriction in Islamic law that says a woman cannot work or have a profession, that her only place is in the home. In fact, by definition, in a truly Islamic society, there must be women physicians, women nurses, women teachers. They also must receive equal pay.

    1. If the woman happened to own any property prior to marriage, she retains that property after marriage. It remains under her control.
    2. Also, in most Muslim countries, the woman keeps her own last name, and her own identity.
    3. If the woman has any earnings during her marital life, by way of investments of her property or as a result of work, she doesn’t have to spend one penny of that income on the household, it is entirely hers.
    4. The full maintenance and support of a married woman is the entire responsibility of her husband, even though she might be richer than he is. She doesn’t have to spend a penny.
    5. If the widow or divorcee has children, she’s entitled to child support
    • We also find that credit goes to Islam for stopping the barbaric practice of pre-Islamic Arabs of female infanticide. These ignorant people used to bury female daughters alive. The Qu’ran forbade the practice, making it a crime. Surah 81 Additionally, the Qu’ran condemned the chauvinistic attitudes of some people who used to greet the birth of a boy with gladness, but sadness in the case of a girl.
    • The duty, not the right, the duty of education, as the Prophet said, is a duty on every Muslim, male and female.
    • The approval and consent of the girl to marriage is a prerequisite for the validity of marriage in Islam. She has the right to say yes or no.
    • Polygamy has become so mythical in the minds of many people that they assume being Muslim means having four wives. This is a false notion, of course. A very renowned anthropologist, Edward Westermarck, in his two-volume work, “History of Human Marriage,” notes that there has been polygamy in virtually every culture and religion, including Judaism and Christianity. But the point here is not to say, “Why blame Islam?” Actually, Islam is the only religion even among Abrahamic faiths, that specifically limited the practice of polygamy that existed before Islam and established very strict conditions for guidance. The question, “How could any man have two wives? That’s terrible!” reflects ethnocentrism. We assume that because we’re living in the West and it seems strange, and we assume it must apply to all cultures, all times, under all circumstances. This simply isn’t true. Let me give you one current-day example. In the savage attack on Afghanistan, genocide was committed on the Afghani people. It is estimated that 1-1.5 million people lost their lives, a great majority of whom were men of a marriageable age. Now, with a great shortage of men, what will happen to their widows, their orphans and their daughters of marriageable age? Is it better to leave them in a camp, with a handout? Or better a man is willing to take care of his fallen comrade’s wife and children? ( part was copy and pasted from a post rnashallah did on this topic)

So buddy let me ask you a question? Does something have to have to explicity say something for it to stand by it?

ima go ahead and answer for you; its no. :)))
