there’s never … rly anything revolutionary about a white person making a character of color that has ‘complicated’ or ‘negative’ feelings about their culture. white people just cant depict the resentment and love and distress and comfort people of color have towards their culture. no matter how ‘researched’, no matter how ‘open-minded’. they will never do it in a way that fathoms and penetrates the way creators of color do.

self-racism and internalised prejudices or even just little frustrations should never be handled by white people. it’s ours entirely. and yet the practice is so fucking rampant. our intricacies have been taken, fashioned into some empty and lukewarm rendition — more often than not to serve as a foil to the more ‘progressive’ white culture — and white people are praised for exploring these so-called ….. bring back Georgian-era sentence structure. fuck this single clause Hemingway bullshit; I want to string the reader along for pages, to link, however disparate, an endless array of actions using every form of punctuation I can imagine - even those I rarely use - and generally be as incoherent as possible (though it is to be said that this is for internet and casual use, and not for increasing the impenetrability of research papers, a far less noble goal than the one I proposed).
